On October 12, 2023 in the III Auditorium of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, the first in-presence meeting between the project partners was held.
The meeting was opened by Prof. Dr. Bozhidar Yordanov, PhD – Dean of the Faculty of Dental Medicine, MU – Sofia, who welcomed the participants.
According to the program, he made the presentation of the Medical University – Sofia and the Faculty of Dental Medicine, followed by the presentations of the University of Oviedo – Spain, University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Grigore T. Popa” – Romania and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – Greece.
The following working session tackled the financial and administrative matters concerning project implementation and reporting, subsequently discussed between the participants.
In the third working session most of the forthcoming activities were discussed in details. The following actions were agreed on:
The content of the questionnaire for the patients: to examine patients’ perceptions and attitudes in terms of soft skills in the process of interaction with dentists and dental staff. The questionnaire was developed by the team members of the Romanian partner – the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Grigore T. Popa” and revised by the team members of the Medical University – Sofia.
Each university has to present its own, more comprehensive and detailed study on the behavioral sciences teaching regarding soft skills.
It was reminded and underlined that each of the partners needs to receive research ethics committee (REC) review from the corresponding state body.
The content of the training should be proposed by each partner and a consolidated variant will be agreed on.
